Originally built in the 1850’s as a wedding gift from a father to his daughter, this home was purchased by the current owners grandparents in the 1960’s – where it was a treasured home filled with love and laughter!

The House

Drym House, a prestigious traditional granite built home, situated in the peaceful hamlet of Drym near Leedstown, Hayle. Originally built in the 1850s and owned by the same family since the 1960s, the updating of this beautiful period home to an exceptional standard for modern life has been a passion for the owners since 2018.

Through the front pillared porch of Drym House you enter the spacious entrance hall. To the left hand side you will find the formal lounge with adequate seating, which is the perfect place to read, relax and reflect – especially on cooler days in front of the statement fireplace.

To the right of the entrance hall, the newly renovated and enviable kitchen with stone flooring and on trend navy cabinets complete with marble style tops is well furnished with high spec appliances, range style double oven, American style fridge/freezer with ice maker, dishwasher, large wine cooler, coffee machine and double Belfast sink.

The modern kitchen is a chef’s dream and the central island unit will soon see the party all get stuck in with the preparations. A log burner and large dining area makes this the perfect hub of the home for socialising, drinking and eating.

The kitchen is connected to a wonderfully light sun room with its vaulted ceiling and bi fold doors, giving seamless access to an external terrace, the perfect place to relax in the Cornish sun, or enjoy pre dinner drinks at the end of a day exploring. The ground floor is completed with a boot room and shower room, great for furry feet and sandy toes via the rear porch entrance.

The mid Victorian staircase of Drym House takes you to the central landing where you will find four light and airy bedrooms. Each bedroom has large sash windows, and their own individual view of the gardens and are stylishly dressed with a soft colour palette, all making for a perfect nights sleep.

A master king bedroom with dual aspect windows has a spacious double shower en suite, finished with black retro subway tiles. A second king and third twin both have en suites, to provide plenty of flexibility for all of your parties needs.

The fourth double bedroom sits prime in the middle of Drym House over looking the front garden and entrance. The family bathroom looks out onto the idyllic rear garden and is complimented with a statement  bath from Waters baths of Ashbourne, the perfect place to simply soak away during your stay at Drym House. The utopia vintage grey floor tiles with Fired Earth wall tiles provide the upmost of luxury.
